The South East Metro Denver Kiwanis Club recognized the local epidemic of youth suicide that our children and teens are facing in Colorado. Pints & Pinots is a fundraising event for Second Wind. $1,000 is all it takes to save a young life. They pay up to 12 sessions of therapy.
Pints & Pinots is a fun evening of wine and beer tastings with decadent sweet and savory delights; all for a great cause.
The South East Metro Denver Kiwanis Club partnered up with the Douglas County Sheriffs and Station 18 to collect small electronic devices. These device donations went to benefit vulnerable residents in our communities. 911cellphonebank.org
Clothes to Kids of Denver provides hundreds of free school wardrobes each month to students from low-income or in-crisis families. They have built a strong reputation among schools, churches, shelters across the Denver Metro Area.
The first Wednesday of the month we provide dinner for the youths that are staying at the Shiloh House. We talk and play games. We assist with workshops for "Beyond the Walls". Volunteers are a vital part of Shiloh House's mission of providing care and support for children and young people whose lives have been impacted by abuse, neglect, and trauma.
Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House often experience stress due to the illness or health status of their child. Kiwanis extends its support by volunteering to provide prepared meals at the House. The best part is that we get to sit down and eat with the families.
The Ronald McDonald House is a Rocky Mountain District Project.
Our Kiwanis Club volunteers at Parker Days in the beer, wine and specialty drinks tent. It allows us to earn money that we can spend on service projects for the children. It also, gives us an opportunity to be out in the community.
As an annual fundraiser in August, our club sells Palisade Peaches. This fundraiser enables our foundation to provide support to teen suicide prevention, backpacks with school supplies, meals, and much more.
Key Club is the oldest and largest service leadership organization for teens. It teaches leadership through service to others. Our Club is looking for a High School to sponsor.

Volunteering for the Elephant Rock and Ride Race allows us to get out into the community and to earn money to put towards other events. 2021 was our first time volunteering. We were able to make it an inter club event by teaming up with the Aurora Kiwanis Club.
The members of the Southeast Metro Denver Kiwanis celebrate children who have been chosen by their teacher for their accomplishments in reading and writing. The award ceremony is done quarterly. They are provided with a certificate and a new book that they get to choose. Afterwards we have an ice cream social with their parents, grandparents and siblings. Its a fun evening for all who attend.
Kiwanis One Day gives us the opportunity to do something special for our community. We invite friends and family to join in - It's a great way to introduce Kiwanis.
